Our
Technical Committee
EMILIO SANCHEZ
A true champion (best ranking No. 7 ATP in singles and No. 1 in doubles) and an outstanding coach. His Academy in Barcelona has been taken as an example all over the world, and it was on those courts that a certain Andy Murray trained. Today, the Emilio Sanchez Academies have also landed in the United States (in Naples, Florida) and even in Dubai.
IVAN LJUBICIC
An incredible player (he reached third place in the world rankings and won Indian Wells 2010, beating Djokovic, Nadal, and Roddick in the tournament), Ljubicic also reached the top as a coach. His friend Roger thought he could win again, and he was right. With Ljubo in his corner, King Federer won three Grand Slams and became the oldest ATP number one ever. Today, he is also Matteo Berrettini’s manager and in the summer of 2021, he opened his academy on the Croatian island of Lošinj.
OMAR CAMPORESE
The man who excelled in Davis, because when he had to defend the blue jersey, he always gave his all. Omar Camporese, born in Bologna in 1968, was undoubtedly one of the best Italian tennis players since Panatta. Ranked 18th in the ATP rankings, Camporese defeated champions such as Courier, Lendl, Wilander, and Edberg during his career, beating eleven top 10 players and many other players who won Slams, such as Bruguera and Ivanisevic.
GIPO ARBINO
A life spent on the court teaching tennis to at least three generations. He brought Alberto Giraudo into the top 500 players in the world and Stefania Chieppa to number 359 in the WTA rankings.
He achieved his masterpiece with Lorenzo Sonego, whom he took on when he was 11 years old and has now led to a best ranking of No. 21 in the ATP, with highlights such as the semi-final in Rome in 2021, victory over No. 1 Djokovic, and wins in the ATP 250 tournaments in Antalya, Cagliari, Metz, and the 2023 Davis Cup.
ROCCO LOCCISANO
First a player and then a coach, Italian-Australian Rocco Loccisano trained 1986 Wimbledon champion Pat Cash from 1992 to 1996. Today, he divides his time between an academy in Germany, where he lives, and the Forte Village Resort in Sardinia, where he first encountered our association and immediately embraced its principles and projects.
SIMONE TARTARINI
The coach who transformed Lorenzo Musetti from an 8-year-old boy into one of the top 10 players in the world, thanks to a humane and personalized method. Their journey, which lasted over 15 years, produced extraordinary successes: 2 ATP titles, Grand Slam semifinals, a bronze medal at the Olympics, and the mental transformation that today characterizes a mature champion.
