I Tennis Foundation featured at 54th AIDP National Congress and talk-event with Boris Becker

On May 15, 16, and 17, 2025, I Tennis Foundation had the opportunity to participate in the 54th AIDP National Congress-promoted by AIDP-the Italian Association for Personnel Management-by taking part in both the central event and the Out-of-Congress activities, which featured outstanding guests.

On Wednesday, May 15, within the talk “How to manage error: either I win or I learn,” organized by AIDP Lombardy in collaboration with Edenred, Fondimpresa, Laureus Foundation and I Tennis Foundation, we shared the stage with a world sports icon: former ATP world No. 1 Boris Becker.

It was an inspiring discussion in which the German champion brought his human and professional experience to reflect on how sports can become a powerful metaphor for error and crisis management in business. “From mistakes I have only ever learned,” Becker reiterated in response to questions from journalist Federica Lodi, “because it is the last point that really counts.

Also speaking during the talk was Simone Bongiovanni, co-founder and team manager of I Tennis Foundation programs, who offered an original reflection on the importance of knowing how to manage error even in the so-called “non-play time.” If in tennis it is that time when the player reflects, recovers and prepares between points, in business it corresponds to all those phases of apparent pause – changes of scenario, strategic expectations, re-planning – in which it is crucial to be able to read weak signals and learn from the past in order to face future challenges.

We are grateful to all the partners in the initiative and in particular to the Laureus Foundation, without which Boris Becker’s participation and the holding of this event would not have been possible. Proud of this collaboration, we renew our commitment together to promote sports as an educational and training lever in the corporate sphere as well.

During the National Congress, which was held in Milan at Allianz MiCo with the title “The Power of Imagination – Turning Visions into Reality,” I Tennis Foundation was also present with its own exhibition booth. It was an excellent opportunity to connect with HR professionals, decision makers and organizations sensitive to the issues of social innovation, training and sports culture in the company.

We thank the national AIDP and AIDP Lombardy for their hospitality, cooperation, and for providing space for our vision that focuses on people, sports, training, merit and education, and social responsibility.
