I Tennis at the Circolo degli Esteri with Santopadre and Massari

The Intesa Sanpaolo Assicura Little Tennis Champions charity programme continued as best it could with three days of special training in Rome on the magnificent venue of the Circolo del Ministero degli Esteri, one of the most fascinating and historic tennis clubs in Italy.
After the eight weeks of European tournaments in the summer, the Italian championships, and the training stages in Monza and Turin with Gipo Arbino and Omar Camporese, the I Tennis Foundation team met again in the capital with two extraordinary figures from the tennis world, as well as friends of our association: Vincenzo Santopadre and Stefano Massari. The former is the coach who took a 15-year-old boy and led him, among many other achievements, to the 2021 Wimbledon final against Djokovic, the latter is the mental coach (still in the team) of Matteo Berrettini.
The two, together with I Tennis Foundation’s technical staff (the head coach Alfredo Santacroce freshly qualified as National Coach, the National Coach Martina Zavarise and the Instructor Riccardo Sosso), led the training session, focusing on the individual goals of our tennis players on the mental level. Truly another great opportunity for growth for Alessandra Fiorillo, Francesca Galli, Mattia Bille and Mattia Cappellari all born in 2008, and the 2009 Martina Cerbo and Carlo Paci.

Thanks to the wonderful hospitality of the Circolo del Ministero degli Esteri (already the venue of the I Tennis Foundation charity dinner last May during the “Internazionali d’Italia”), the occasion was also very useful to involve the members of the beautiful tennis club in the on-court activities of our team of young talents. Observing the great coaches who support our projects, learning from our instructors, and seeing with how much dedication our scholarship holders pursue their dream of becoming professional tennis players: yes, it was really three special days!

Next stop in February at the Tennis Club Brema in Sirmione, the last test in view of international programming.
