Intense and highly rewarding weeks for the young players of the Little Tennis Champions program, who competed on two major international stages: the Adriatic Cup U16 and the Ljubic Academy Open U14, both held at the prestigious Ljubicic Academy in Croatia.
Adriatic Cup U16 – Results
The standout performer was Nadja Knezevic, who claimed 1st place in the girls’ singles, capping off an outstanding tournament played with maturity and determination. In doubles, the pair of Antonia Bondoc and Maria Chiara Forgione secured an excellent 2nd place, confirming the high quality of their game in team events as well. Petar Stankovic reached the semifinals in doubles, contributing to the group’s overall strong performance.
Among the other notable results, Demetra Mozzarella advanced to the round of 16 in singles, demonstrating great physical and mental form.
Ljubic Academy Open U14
In the U14 category, Nadja Knezevic, fresh off her Adriatic Cup victory, reached the semifinals and continues to impress with 12 consecutive wins on the Tennis Europe international circuit. Antonia Bondoc advanced to the round of 16 in singles, competing against more physically developed opponents and delivering a performance that confirms her steady progress.
A Historic Ranking
One of the most significant achievements of the season is Nadja Knezevic’s career-high Tennis Europe ranking: No. 26 in the U16 Girls category. This milestone rewards daily hard work, dedication, and the trust placed in the project by the entire I Tennis Foundation family, in collaboration with the Montenegro Federation.
On and Off the Court
As always, the trip was about more than just competition. The players experienced a 360-degree learning journey: classroom sessions focused on match analysis, mental coaching, and English language skills—essential tools for navigating international circuits with confidence and independence. Perhaps even more valuable was the human aspect of these days: being together, sharing challenges, emotions, and everyday moments in a unique international environment that no on-court training alone can replicate.
LTC Camp
The program doesn’t stop. This week, I Tennis Foundation is offering a free training camp in Turin for 12 LTC players from three partner federations (Albania, Kosovo, and Montenegro). Another concrete step in our mission: breaking down barriers, creating opportunities, and offering experiences that leave a lasting impact.
We are proud of every single athlete—of every point played, every lesson attended, and every bond built during these days.
We give a dream, we build the future.
